One of TU's main objectives is to see that our waterways are able to be utilized. So, if you have any suggestions for water way improvements please email me at harveysctu@hotmail.com. Please be specific as to the section of water way and the improvement's, the more details you give will help us in determining the feasibility of each idea.

THE NEXT 3 OR 4 DIRECTOR’S MEETINGS will be held at Randy Emerich’s home on
Seneca Ave, Pottsville, and NOT at the Yorkville Hose Co. Light snacks and drinks will be
provided. The July 14th meeting will meet there at 7:00 PM. Hungry? Burgers available at
6PM. Watch the newsletter for any last minute changes in this schedule.

OUR JUNE 23rd. REGULAR MEETING will be held at DAVE & RUTH MOYER’S home,
Deturksville Rd, Pine Grove. Come at 6PM, with diner at 6:30PM. To help co-ordinate the
food menu by those who care to contribute, Ruth has asked you to please call her before
June 20, at 570-345-6575, and let her know what you plan to bring, There will be a Pot
Luck Raffle, and in addition, the drawing for the kayak raffle winner will be made. Some
tickets, $5 each or 3 for $10, are still available from Bud Noel and Randy Emerich. Tickets
can also be purchased at the picnic June 23rd. Need directions to Dave’s? Call 570-345-

OUR JULY 28th REGULAR FAMILY PICNIC MEETING will be held at the picnic area on
the Little Schuylkill, New Ringgold. Stocking of some larger trout is planned, so come
early and plan to fish. There will be a Pot Luck Raffle.


THE AUGUST 25th REGULAR FAMILY PICNIC MEETING will be held at the Sweet
Arrow Pavilion at 6PM. There will be a Pot Luck Raffle.


The NORM THORNBURG YOUTH CONSERVATION CAMP, Thursday June 18th—Sat
June 20th, Schuylkill Cty. Fair Grounds, 8:15AM– 4PM. Note that SCTU will teach fly tying
and casting on the opening day of the fair to give the kids a chance to use their new casting
and tying skills all 3 days. Volunteers always welcome to help.

Owing to the weather and limited cover should it rain, the SCTU June family picnic meeting, featuring lots of good food, a kayak raffle, and of course, the regular monthly raffle, will now be held at the Sweet Arrow Pavillion, and NOT at Dave and Ruth Moyer's home on Deturksville Rd. (rt.443).  Get together at 6PM, with dinner starting at 6:30 PM.  Fishing is optional.

There will be kayak (10 ft. sit inside model) raffle tickets available at the meeting, $2 each, or 3 for $5.00.
